Trust is the cornerstone of our project. Because your payslips and driving hours belong to your most private life, we made a radical technological choice: 100% local processing, with no centralised server whatsoever.
Scanning a payslip or importing tachograph files (.ddd) online can be daunting. In a sector where management pressure is sometimes intense, the fear that an employer might access your verification activities is legitimate. That is why TruckerMaster was designed from day one with a **"Zero-Server" security architecture (On-Device Processing)**.
1. The Zero-Server principle: Nothing leaves your device
Unlike conventional apps that upload your files and photos to their servers for analysis, TruckerMaster performs all computations directly in your web browser (on your phone or computer):
- Local OCR (Text Recognition): Extraction of text and figures from your payslips is handled locally by a lightweight JavaScript engine. No image of your payslip is ever stored online.
- Driver card decoding: Binary decoding of your tachograph card's `.ddd` files is performed entirely by your own device, using decryption algorithms written in WebAssembly.
- Local database: Your scan history, driving hours, and saved payslips are stored exclusively in your browser's internal database (IndexedDB). If you clear your browser history or the app cache, your data is permanently deleted from your device.
2. Absolute independence and data sovereignty
TruckerMaster is an entirely independent initiative. We are not affiliated with:
- ✖ No employer association: Your company has no way of knowing you use our tool, and we will never sell statistical or personal reports to third parties.
- ✖ No advertising network: The application contains no advertising trackers or intrusive behavioural analytics tools (such as Google Analytics or Facebook Pixel).
- ✔ Full transparency: The source code of our CCNTR calculation algorithms will soon be published as open source so that anyone can verify the neutrality and security of the application for themselves.
3. Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) about your privacy
Can my employer see my analyses or payslips? ▼
No, this is technically impossible. Since there is no central data storage server, nobody but you can access your dashboard. Your payslips and card data remain on the device used to perform the scan.
How does the "Report a bug" button work then? ▼
To preserve anonymity, when you submit a bug report, the application automatically redacts (blurs/anonymises) all personally identifiable information (your name, surname, social security number, your employer's exact name). Only the numerical lines required for debugging are shared securely.
Will I lose my history if I change devices? ▼
Yes, because all your data is stored in your device's local memory. In the future, we will offer an optional End-to-End Encrypted synchronisation system: your data will be encrypted with a password known only to you before being synchronised, ensuring no system administrator can read it.
Is the USB bridge for the driver card secure? ▼
Yes. The bridge firmware acts solely as a hardware translator to read the raw binary file from your card and transfer it locally to your browser. It stores nothing and does not communicate with the outside world.
